NM Court of Appeals Schedules August 9 Hearing

The New Mexico Court of Appeals has scheduled a hearing at the Pamela B. Minzner Law Center on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. The oral argument is open to the public and begins at 10:00 am.

A three-judge panel will preside: Chief Judge Celia Foy Castillo ('81), Judge Cynthia A. Fry ('81), and Judge Roderick Kennedy.

Following are the details of the case:

State of New Mexico, Plaintiff-Appellant, represented by Margaret E. McLean and Joel Jacobsen

vs.

Debbie Gonzales, Defendant-Appellee represented by Lelia L. Hood

Plaintiff-Appellant requests a review, de novo, of the trial court's ruling that their expert witness, testifying based on records created by an unavailable expert, would be a violation of the confrontation clause.
