NM Court of Appeals Schedules June 22 Hearing

The New Mexico Court of Appeals has scheduled a 2 p.m. hearing on June 22 at the Pamela B. Minzner Law Center. The oral argument is open to the public.

A three-judge panel will preside: Judge Michael D. Bustamante (’74), Judge Celia Foy Castillo (’81), and Judge Linda M. Vanzi (’95).

Following are the details of the case:

Charles Cox, plaintiff-appellant, represented by Cindi L. Pearlman (`86)

vs.

New Mexico Dept. of Public Safety, et al., defendants-appellees, represented by Mark E. Komer

Appellant seeks access to records of complaints regarding a patrolman with the Dept. of Public Safety’s Motor Transportation Division under the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, which the appellees state does not require the release of the records requested.
