NM Court of Appeals Schedules Feb. 23 Hearing

The New Mexico Court of Appeals has scheduled a Feb. 23 hearing at the new Court of Appeals Pamela B. Minzner Law Center, adjacent to the UNM School of Law. The oral argument begins at 2 p.m. and is open to the public.

A three-judge panel will preside: Judge Jonathan Sutin (`63), Judge Celia Foy Castillo (`81) and Judge Robert Robles (`75)

Following are the details of the case:
Densil and Mary Gillis, plaintiffs-appellants, represented by David P. Lutz

vs.

Board of County Commissioners of Sierra County, defendant-appellee, represented by David Pato (`02)

Plaintiffs-appellants challenge the finding of the District Court that the defendant-appellee had sovereign immunity.
