NM Appeals Court Schedules Jan. 27 Hearing

The New Mexico Court of Appeals has scheduled a hearing at the Pamela B. Minzner Law Center on Thursday, January 27. The oral argument is open to the public and begins at 10:00 am.

A three-judge panel will preside: Chief Judge Cynthia A. Fry ('81), Judge Jonathan B. Sutin (`63), and Judge Timothy L. Garcia ('84)

In the Matter of the Guardianship of Patrick D., A Child

Petitioner-Appellant challenges the granting of kinship guardianship to the maternal grandparents, stating that all the statutory requirements have not been met. Additionally, Petitioner challenges the requirement for visitation of authorizing the release of his immigration records.
