NM Appeals Court Schedules Jan. 21 Hearing

The New Mexico Court of Appeals has scheduled a hearing at the Pamela B. Minzner Law Center on Friday, January 21. The oral argument is open to the public and begins at 10:00 am.

A three-judge panel will preside: Judge James J. Wechsler, Judge Jonathan B. Sutin (`63), and Judge Michael E. Vigil

Following are the details of the case:

Plaintiff-Appellant states that the trial court erred in finding that several claims of defamation should be dismissed under the absolute privilege rule, as the statements were not made to achieve the objects of litigation.
